He noted that the Gateway Airport, which began construction in 2021, had reached operational status in record time — one of the fastest airport developments in Nigeria.

Gateway International Airport is built to meet international standards, with facilities designed for both passenger and cargo operations. The airport boasts a cargo terminal, customs and immigration offices, a fully equipped air traffic control tower, and an Instrument Landing System (ILS) that ensures safe and efficient flight operations in all weather conditions.
