ATPN Endorses Things Fall Apart Festival 2025, Elevating it to National Tourism Event

The Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), the leading tourism association in Nigeria, has officially endorsed the Things Fall Apart Festival 2025, organized by the Centre for Memories Enugu.

The endorsement signifies a major boost for the festival, positioning it as a significant national tourism event alongside its celebration of literature and culture. The endorsement was conveyed through a delegation led by ATPN Deputy President Mr. Wilson Uche Ugwu, representing ATPN President Mr. Adetunji Femi Fadina, during a courtesy visit to the Centre for Memories in Enugu. Mr. Iheanyi Igboko, Executive Director of the Centre, welcomed the delegation, highlighting the visit as a crucial step in fostering collaboration between Nigeria’s tourism sector and cultural preservation initiatives.

The ATPN delegation expressed profound admiration for the Centre’s dedication to memory, identity, and heritage, recognizing its vital role in promoting sustainable tourism throughout Nigeria, not just in the South East. During the visit, Mr. Ugwu presented an official endorsement letter for the Things Fall Apart Festival 2025 on behalf of Prince Adetunji Oluwafemi Fadina, National President of ATPN.

The letter emphasized the alignment of the Centre for Memories’ work with ATPN’s core mission to promote and sustain Nigeria’s cultural and historical tourism assets. Prince Fadina further pledged maximum collaboration, announced the Centre’s admission into ATPN membership, and donated souvenir bags as a gesture of support for the Festival. This endorsement marks a significant milestone for the Things Fall Apart Festival 2025, transforming it into a nationally recognized tourism event with a profound and lasting impact.

The Centre for Memories expressed its enthusiasm for the burgeoning partnership and its commitment to strengthening ties with stakeholders in the tourism and cultural sectors. The excitement continues to build as the festival draws closer, scheduled for June 29 – July 5, 2025.
